Larry Nikolai is a Disney Imagineer, conceptual designer and sculptor whose career has combined theme-park design with three-dimensional character and environmental art.
His work for the Walt Disney Classics Collection is particularly notable for its many castles, buildings, vehicles and elaborate environments, reflecting his extensive background in themed design and Imagineering.

Larry Nikolai grew up fascinated by Disneyland during the park's early years. As a child in Granada Hills, California, he even created his own versions of Disneyland attractions in the family backyard.
That childhood fascination eventually became a professional career in the theme-park and entertainment industry, where Nikolai developed his skills in conceptual design and three-dimensional storytelling.
He went on to become a Senior Conceptual Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering, applying his artistic experience to the creation of themed environments and attractions.

Work for the Walt Disney Classics Collection
Larry Nikolai brought his experience in environmental and conceptual design to the Walt Disney Classics Collection, contributing to an unusually broad range of architectural pieces, vehicles and display environments.
His WDCC work includes concepts for castles and iconic locations such as A Castle for Cinderella, Ariel's Secret Grotto, Forbidden Fortress and Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
He was also involved with attraction-inspired pieces and vehicles, including the Main Street Electrical Parade collection, Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse and Cinderella's Coach.
