ABOUT THE ARTIST

Discover the artist behind the sculptures

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Tony Cipriano studied at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and Art Education.

He was hired by Walt Disney Feature Animation directly out of college and spent seven years at the studio, working during the modern renaissance of Disney feature animation.

His animation credits include productions such as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan and Tarzan.

Tony Cipriano brought his background in Disney feature animation and character maquettes to the Walt Disney Classics Collection.
