Description
Second release in a series of sculptures based on the popular Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.
The Captain of the Wicked Wench was released on March 18, 2007 at the Disneyland Resort during the Theme Park's 40th Anniversary Celebration and Walt Disney World Resort.
The series will include sculptures based on several vignettes from the original attraction (not from the 2006 redress featuring representations from the live action films). The series of sculptures will release exclusively at the Disney Theme Parks.
This sculpture pays homage to the original Captain of the Wicked Wench, who you will not see any more as part of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, since it has been redressed to Captain Barbossa on the Black Pearl from the popular live action film series. Details

Face and Moustache: Pewter.

Strap Holder and Guns: Pewter.
Wicked Wench: Resin crane, metal pulleys, resin crane post, authentic rope in the pulleys, all porcelain deck and ship siding.

Dusty became a freelance sculptor in 1999, and eventually being hired as a sculptor for WDCC. His first sculpting assignment for WDCC was of Mickey and Minnie, but he was quickly assigned larger with unbelievable pieces like Monstro from Pinocchio.

Each Walt Disney Classics Collection sculpture bears a backstamp with Walt Disney's signature and production year mark. The marks symbolize major milestones in Disney history. A production mark represents the calender year during which the particular piece is made.
